 Pastor David Edwards Sr., a native of Brooklyn, New York, was born to Bishop Nathaniel Edwards, Sr. and Pastor Rosie Edwards. He is the youngest of five children- three boys and two girls. 

Pastor Edwards obtained his primary and secondary education within the public schools of Brooklyn, New York, and Salisbury, Maryland. In 1987, after completing high school, he entered The University of Maryland Eastern Shore where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education. While attending The University of Maryland Eastern Shore, he was active in the Drama Society, and the Hospitality and Fine Arts Departments. After graduation, Pastor Edwards secured employment with the Somerset County Public School System where he has been teaching for the past 20 years, and was named “Teacher of the Year” for his high school in 2016. In 2018, he continued his education by completing his Master of Arts, with an emphasis in Career and Technical Education at Wilmington University, New Castle, Delaware. Presently, he is pursuing his Administrator I Certification at McDaniel College, Westminster, Maryland.

After accepting the call of Jesus Christ to the Ministry several years ago, Pastor Edwards was licensed by Bishop Nathaniel and Pastor Rosie Edwards and the Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, Inc. of Salisbury, Maryland.

Pastor Edwards is currently serving as Pastor of the Tabernacle of Prayer, Inc. in Salisbury, Maryland, and he continually strives for a quality church and community through Christ Jesus. This is evident through the boundless energy he displays, and his enthusiasm for the growth and productivity of the ministry.

Presently, under Pastor Edwards’ leadership, Tabernacle is experiencing a holistic ministry that is unprecedented and spirit-filled. God has given him a vision for the ministry that includes reaching the lost at any cost, feeding the poor, and investing in our youth.

Pastor Edwards’ emphasis on the need for spiritual growth and development through the teaching of God's Word has resulted in dramatically increased growth and development in the lives of those that hear him, a great honor for which he is humbly grateful. 

Pastor Edwards is married to Mrs. Sheila Edwards, and sharing in their joy are their six lovely children: Danielle, David Jr., Daniel, Malachi, Aaliyah, and Josiah.
